You can permanently delete your Ngwaahia account at any time. This page explains how to request deletion, what happens to your data, and what information we are required to retain.
How to delete your account
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the Ngwaahia app:
Open the Ngwaahia app and go to the Profile tab.
Tap Settings.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Danger Zone, then Delete Account.
Select a reason and confirm. Your account will be deleted immediately.
If you no longer have access to the app or are unable to log in, you can request deletion by emailing us at [email protected] from the email address associated with your account. Include “Account Deletion Request” in the subject line. We will process your request within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently erase or anonymise the following:
Your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo
Your bio, cover photo, and work experience
Your shop(s) — all shops are suspended and removed from public listings
Your product listings
Your reviews and ratings, hidden from public listings
Your saved addresses and cart
Your push notification tokens and device identifiers
What we retain and why
Some information is retained after deletion for legal, financial, and safety reasons:
Order records — retained for up to 2 years to support dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Personal identifiers within order records are anonymised.
Payment proof images — retained for up to 2 years for the same reasons above.
Reports and moderation actions — retained to protect the safety of the platform.
Re-registration hold
After account deletion, your email address and phone number cannot be used to create a new Ngwaahia account for 90 days. This is to prevent abuse and protect other users on the platform.
